Highly acclaimed Iran movie ‘Midday Adventures’ has grossed 30 billion rials (about USD 924,000) at Iranian domestic box office.
Directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, the film is currently on the silver screen in Tehran and other Iranian cities.
‘The Midday Event’ is a political drama that features the terrorist atrocity of the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization in Iran.
“Being stranded and puzzled in volatile Tehran neighborhoods, in the winding streets, alleyways and inside homes; is there an end in sight to such hunt?” the film’s synopsis read.
The movie swept several awards, including Best Film Crystal Simorgh, at the 35th edition of Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
The movie features Mehrdad Seddiqian, Ahmad Mehranfar, Hadi Hejazifar, Mehdi Zaminpardaz, Mahya Dehqani, Linda Kiani, Hossein Mehri, and Javad Ezzati.
Mahdavian’s previous movie ‘Standing in the Mist’ received a Crystal Simorgh for Best Film from the 34th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in 2016.
